Biography

David Kenny is a Professor at the Faculty of Dentistry at the University of Toronto. He holds a B.Sc., D.D.S. cum laude, and a Ph.D., with a specialization in Pediatric Dentistry. His research interests focus on the history of dentistry and early Canadian photography, although he has extensive experience in clinical neurophysiology and pediatric dentistry. He continues to chair examinations at the School of Graduate Studies. Throughout his career, he has been actively involved in various capacities within the academic and clinical settings, including serving as the Dentist-in-Chief at both the Hospital for Sick Children and the Children's Hospital Eastern Ontario. He has received several prestigious awards, including the Jens O. Andreasen Prize in Dental Traumatology in 2001 and the Barnabas Day Award from the Ontario Dental Association in 1999. Additionally, he was honored with the Alumni Distinction Award from the University of Western Ontario's School of Dentistry in 1999.
