Dr. David Kwabi

Biography

David Kwabi is a Professor in the Department of Chemical and Environmental Engineering at Yale University. He holds a Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and a B.S.E. in Mechanical Engineering from Princeton University. His research focuses on electrochemical energy storage conversion, carbon capture, and chemical separations. David has contributed significantly to advancing knowledge in electrochemical systems, particularly in removal and capture processes utilizing innovative methodologies. He has received numerous accolades including the ASME Rising Star Award for Early Career Engineers in 2024, the Scialog Negative Emissions Fellowship in 2022, and the NSF CAREER Award in 2021. His work is widely published in high-impact journals, showcasing his expertise in the application of electrochemical processes.
