Biography

David Langslow is an Emeritus Professor at the University of Manchester, specializing in Classics, Ancient History, and Egyptology. He has a remarkable academic background with extensive research in Latin Philology and medical terminology, particularly in ancient texts. He served as a University Lecturer at the University of Oxford for 14 years, where he contributed significantly to the study of Latin and Greek languages and their historical contexts. His doctoral thesis, completed at Oxford in 1991, focused on the origin and development of Latin medical terminology. Langslow’s research interests are diverse but center around Latin and Greek languages, ancient medical texts, and the historical and linguistic aspects of these subjects.
