Biography

David James Lasho, D.D.S., M.S. is a Clinical Associate Professor in the Department of Periodontics at the University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio. He graduated from the University of Minnesota School of Dentistry in 1975 and served in the U.S. Air Force for four years practicing general dentistry. Subsequently, he completed a USAF-sponsored residency in periodontics, earning a Certificate in Postgraduate Study in Periodontics and a Master of Science in Dentistry from Indiana University in 1981. Dr. Lasho has held various teaching positions, primarily focusing on advanced education in periodontics. He is a Diplomate of the American Board of Periodontology and an active member of the American Dental Association, Texas Dental Association, and the San Antonio District Dental Society. From 2000 to 2002, he served on the Board of Directors of the San Antonio District Dental Society and continues to engage with the Southwest Society of Periodontists. His current teaching responsibilities include courses in periodontics, literature seminars, and clinical instruction, aimed at both predoctoral and postdoctoral students.
