David Lentz is a Professor and Chair of Economic Geology at the University of New Brunswick. He has a strong academic background with a PhD and is recognized as a Professional Geoscientist (PGeo) and Fellow of the Geological Association (FGC). His research interests are centered around complex magmatic-hydrothermal mineralizing alteration processes, particularly in relation to massive-sulphide deposits in the Bathurst Camp. He also studies porphyry Cu-Mo-Au systems, Sn-W-Mo-Au granophile systems, and their association with skarn systems. Lentz has a renewed focus on lithium-cesium-tantalum and uranium-rare earth element pegmatite-forming systems as well as critical minerals and the green transition. His work explores complex assimilation processes and the implications of mineralization processes on vapor saturation and solidification, addressing both endo- and exo-skarn reactions and their environmental implications, particularly relating to secular atmospheric CO2 emissions and volcanology.
