David Liggins completed his Ph.D. at the University of Sheffield in 2005, supervised by Rosanna Keefe and Chris Hookway. He has held the position of Lecturer and later Senior Lecturer in the Faculty of Philosophy at the University of Manchester since 2006. Liggins is currently focused on the significance of higher-order logic in metaphysics. He has published various works and is involved in mentoring graduate students in related research topics. He teaches courses in Metaphysics and Research Skills at the MA level and participates in various academic seminars and conferences, discussing themes in philosophical methodology and metaontology.
