David Limmer is an Associate Professor in the Department of Chemistry at the University of California, Berkeley. He earned his B.S. in Chemical Engineering from the New Mexico Institute of Mining and Technology in 2008, followed by a Ph.D. in Physical Chemistry from UC Berkeley in 2013. After completing his doctorate, he was a Postdoctoral Fellow at both the Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory and the Princeton Center for Theoretical Science until 2016. Limmer is also a Faculty Chemist in the Material Sciences Division and the Chemical Sciences Division at the Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory. He has been a Fellow at the Kavli Energy NanoScience Institute since 2016 and is a member of the Biophysics Graduate Group. His work has been recognized with several awards, including the Alfred P. Sloan Fellowship and the Donald N Noyce Prize.
