Biography

David Liu is a Royal College Board-Certified Interventional Radiologist at False Creek Health Centre and an Associate Professor at the University of British Columbia. He also serves as a Radiology Consultant for the Canadian Armed Forces. Dr. Liu received his Medical Doctorate (MD) from the University of Toronto in 1998 and completed his Radiology Residency at the University of British Columbia in 2003. He then completed a Fellowship in Interventional Radiology at Northwestern University. His published work predominantly focuses on venous health, non-invasive imaging, inferior vena cava filter management, and advanced blood clot management. Dr. Liu's contributions to the field have been recognized in numerous publications, including the British Medical Journal, Consumers Reports, Popular Science, and UBC Medicine Magazine. He was awarded the Young Investigator Award by the Canadian Association of Radiologists in recognition of his significant research contributions.
