Biography

David Ljungman is an Associate Professor of Surgery at the Sahlgrenska Academy, University of Gothenburg, specializing in colorectal surgery. His work has contributed significantly to the understanding and prevention of colorectal cancer, particularly in relation to Lynch syndrome. His research output includes several published articles in notable journals, exploring various aspects of surgical oncology, including the impact of the gut microbiome on cancer development and innovative surgical practices in low-resource settings. Ljungman advocates for improved surgical outcomes and the importance of research in enhancing global health.
