Biography

David Macintosh is an Adjunct Associate Professor in the Department of Environmental Health at Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health, a position he has held since 2008. He teaches courses focused on human exposure assessment and human health risk assessment. David earned his Doctorate from Harvard School of Public Health in 1995, an MS in Environmental Science from Indiana University in 1991, and a BS in Quantitative Business Analysis from Indiana University in 1985. He joined the faculty at the University of Georgia in 1996 and received tenure in 2001. In addition to his role at Harvard, David serves as the Chief Science Officer at Environmental Health & Engineering, Inc., an employee-owned consulting firm based in Newton, MA. He specializes in risk management related to chemical, microbial, and physical hazards, along with developing decarbonization strategies for energy systems, transportation, and buildings.
