Biography

David R. Marriott is a partner in Cravath’s litigation department with a focus on litigation and alternative dispute resolution across business, intellectual property, securities, and antitrust areas. He has extensive experience in trying, arguing, and litigating cases in both state and federal courts, and has been involved in numerous forms of alternative dispute resolution. Marriott is a fellow of the American College of Trial Lawyers and serves as a lecturer at Columbia Law School and as an adjunct professor at New York University School of Law. His clients have included prominent corporations such as CSX Corporation, Delta Airlines, IBM, Novartis, and Eli Lilly. Marriott's legal expertise has been recognized by various leading lawyer organizations, including Benchmark Litigation and Super Lawyers. He has also served as an editor for the New York Business Litigation and has contributed articles to reputable legal journals. In addition to his practicing experience, Marriott has chaired significant legal conferences and has previously served as a law clerk for the Honorable Eugene F. Lynch and the Honorable Albert J. Engel. He holds a B.A. from Brigham Young University and a J.D. from New York University School of Law.
