Biography

David S. Matteson is a Professor in the Department of Statistics and Data Science at Cornell University and serves as the Director of the National Institute of Statistical Sciences. He has extensive research expertise in statistical methods for modeling complex human and natural processes, with a focus on dynamic, spatial, functional, and network data science. Dr. Matteson has received various prestigious awards including the CAREER Award from the National Science Foundation and the Chancellor’s Award for Scholarship in Creative Activities from the State University of New York.
