Biography

David is the inaugural Kadoorie Associate Professor of Emergency Medicine at the University of Oxford and a Consultant in Emergency Medicine at the John Radcliffe Hospital. He teaches clinical courses at Magdalen College and has previously served as a Fulbright Scholar at Harvard Medical School and as a Clinical Lecturer at the University of Oxford. In 2020, he was elected Hunterian Professor by the Royal College of Surgeons of England. He currently holds an NIHR Advanced Fellowship. His research focuses on improving the early diagnosis of time-critical conditions and testing the effectiveness of interventions used in emergency care.
