Biography

David Eugin Moon is a Visiting Professor at the Stuart Weitzman School of Design at the University of Pennsylvania, and an Adjunct Associate Professor at the Columbia Graduate School of Architecture, Planning and Preservation. He is a founding partner of the New York-based design research collaborative, N H D M. His research focuses on architectural speculation within contemporary contexts and has led to significant publications and awards, including Architectural Record’s 2020 Design Vanguard and the Domus 100+ Architecture Firms in 2019. Moon’s work has been exhibited at prestigious venues such as the Venice Biennale and the International Architecture Biennale Rotterdam. His recent projects include a substantial reconfiguration of the Nam June Paik Art Center in Korea and a research design project on youth dwelling in New York City. Having previously practiced at leading offices in the U.S., Europe, and Asia, including OMA, Moon's contributions to major projects like the PRADA Transformer in Seoul and the Shenzhen Stock Exchange highlight his expertise. Academically, he has taught at Cornell University and holds a Master’s degree in Architecture from Harvard University, along with a Bachelor of Science in Architecture from the University of Michigan.
