Biography

Dr. David O'Brien is a graduate of Dalhousie University and has specialized in adult general orthopaedics with a focus on knee, hip, and shoulder arthroscopy. His practice encompasses adult hip and knee arthroplasty, including primary and revision surgeries, osteotomy, and the management of hip and knee joints in young adults with arthritis. Dr. O'Brien also manages athletes suffering from knee injuries and performs anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) reconstructions. After completing further fellowship training in complex hip and knee arthroplasty at the University of Western Ontario, he returned to Capital Health to continue his practice after previously working in Ontario.
