Biography

David Masao Ota is a Professor in the Department of Surgery at Duke University. He obtained his M.D. from the University of Chicago in 1973. His research primarily focuses on surgical procedures and methodologies, particularly involving specimen banking and clinical trials. He has a rich history of grant support from the National Institutes of Health, including significant contributions to the ACOSOG studies aimed at enhancing surgical oncology practices. His past appointments include being a Member of the Duke Clinical Research Institute and serving as a Consulting Professor in Surgery.
