Biography

David Ozonoff is an Emeritus Professor at Boston University's School of Public Health, specializing in Environmental Health. He holds an MD from Cornell University, an MPH from Johns Hopkins University, and a BS from the University of Wisconsin-Madison. He played a pivotal role in establishing the Department of Environmental Health at Boston University in 1977 and has served as chair since its inception in the new School of Public Health. His research focuses on the health effects of toxic exposures, particularly those associated with hazardous waste sites, and the mathematical foundations of epidemiology. Ozonoff is a principal co-investigator in major studies concerning waste sites and has led the Superfund Basic Research Program, which is funded by the National Institute of Environmental Health Sciences. He has a strong interest in bridging the gap between mathematics and epidemiology and has worked closely with the Center for Discrete Mathematics and Theoretical Computer Science at Rutgers University. Ozonoff has published extensively and has served as Co-Editor-in-Chief of the journal Environmental Health.
