Biography

David Palomas Dona graduated in Chemistry from the University of Zaragoza, Spain, and obtained his PhD in Organic Organometallic Chemistry from the University of Oviedo, Spain. He has continued his career as a researcher in various academic institutions and companies across Germany and the UK, including the Max Planck Institute and Imperial College London. His research interests focus on homogeneous catalysis and gas conversion for chemical synthesis. David began his academic teaching career in 2015 at Queen Mary University of London, where he managed the Chemistry Teaching Labs and developed lab-based chemistry modules. In 2019, he became a Teaching Associate at the School of Engineering and Materials Science, QMUL, working on Problem-Based Learning and online teaching practices. By April 2023, he was appointed as a Lecturer (Teaching) in Chemical Sustainability at the Department of Chemistry, University College London. He is actively involved in developing inclusive and active learning practices, particularly through flipped classroom approaches in collaboration with Northwestern Polytechnical University.
