Dr. David Pedulla

Biography

David Pedulla is a Professor in the Department of Sociology at Harvard University. His research agenda focuses on the processes and mechanisms that lead to social inequality in labor markets and organizations. He is particularly interested in understanding the consequences of organizational policies and practices, as well as workplace outcomes of nonstandard employment arrangements on the social, economic, and political outcomes for workers. His work has been published in top academic journals such as the American Sociological Review, the American Journal of Sociology, and Social Forces. He is also the author of the book 'Making the Cut,' published by Princeton University Press in 2020. Pedulla's research has received support from organizations including the National Science Foundation, the Russell Sage Foundation, and the W.K. Kellogg Foundation. Previously, he was a member of the faculty at Stanford University and the University of Texas at Austin. He received his Ph.D. in Sociology and Social Policy from Princeton University.
