Biography

David Peloff leads the research development at the Center for Technology in Education related to emerging educational technologies. As Associate Director, he manages a team that creates tools, software, and data systems to support the Center's work, including the Ready Kindergarten Online assessment system, which is widely deployed across five U.S. states. The systems developed under his leadership also include the Maryland Online IEP/IFSP, an Electronic Learning Community, a Digital Portfolio, and a Virtual Learning Environment, in collaboration with Johns Hopkins University Applied Physics Laboratory. His research interests encompass leveraging gaming and simulation technologies to promote learning, using virtual and augmented reality to extend and enhance educational opportunities, and critically examining the impact of artificial intelligence and deep learning technologies on the future of education. Additionally, Dave has taught graduate courses at Johns Hopkins University School of Education, specifically on 'Gaming Simulations in Learning' within the International Teaching and Global Leadership program.
