Dr. David Reed

Biography

Dr. David Reed is an Associate Professor in the Department of Medicine at Queen's University. He completed his PhD in Physiology at Queen’s University and earned his medical degree from the University of Toronto. Dr. Reed has undergone extensive clinical training, including internal medicine at the University of Alberta and gastroenterology at McMaster University. He also pursued a research fellowship at Queen Mary, University of London. His clinical interests primarily focus on gastrointestinal motility disorders, while his research is centered on the interaction of luminal factors, such as dietary components and stress, with the microbiota to modulate pain signaling in motility disorders, particularly in the context of irritable bowel syndrome.
