Professor Dr. David Schneider

Biography

David R. Schneider graduated from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute with a B.S. in Chemical Engineering in 1999, and later obtained an M.S. and Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering from Cornell University. With a focus on Systems Engineering and a vast teaching career, he has been recognized as one of the highest-rated instructors at Cornell University. He is currently the Director of the M.Eng. Studies for Systems Engineering, overseeing a large program that has made significant industry connections with companies such as Intel and Boeing. His research addresses NP-Hard Computer Science Problems and involves controls in robotic systems, with dramatic applications in both autonomous and semi-autonomous technologies. David has piloted innovative projects at NASA, including systems for unmanned vehicles and advanced automation solutions.
