Biography

David Skeie is a Professor of Finance at Warwick Business School, part of the University of Warwick. He has served as a Senior Economist at the Federal Reserve Bank of New York and held the position of Assistant Professor of Finance at the Mays Business School, Texas A&M University. His academic experience includes visiting roles at Imperial College Business School and NYU Stern School of Business. David has also worked as a securities trader for Citadel Investment Group and as a senior associate at Capital Market Risk Advisors. His research focuses on a range of topics within finance, including financial intermediation, financial crises, interbank markets, fintech, contract theory, and corporate finance. He plays an active role in the academic community and has designed courses at undergraduate, masters, and PhD levels in corporate finance, financial regulation, money and banking, and macroeconomics. David achieved his PhD and MA in Economics from Princeton University and holds a Bachelor of Science in Economics from MIT.
