Dr. David Soskice

Biography

David Soskice is an Emeritus Professor at the London School of Economics and a Fellow of the British Academy. He has held various esteemed positions throughout his career, including being a professor and research director at the Wissenschaftszentrum Berlin, and serving as a Research Professor in Comparative Political Economy at Oxford University. Soskice has also held visiting professorships in economics and government departments at prestigious institutions such as Harvard University and the University of California, Berkeley. His research interests encompass macroeconomic models, comparative political economy, crime, and punishment. Notably, he delivered the Federico Caffè lectures in Rome in 2013, addressing topics around knowledge economies and their impact on society. He served as President of the European Political Science Association from 2011 to 2013. Soskice is also an Honorary Fellow at Trinity College, Oxford, and has contributed extensively to the fields of Political Science and Economics.
