Dr. David Stitelman

Biography

David H. Stitelman, MD, is an experienced pediatric surgeon and the surgical director of the Fetal Care Center at Yale Medicine. His clinical practice focuses on treating children with a variety of surgical needs, particularly those with conditions diagnosed before birth through prenatal testing. Dr. Stitelman leads a multidisciplinary team that collaborates with obstetricians, neonatologists, and other pediatric specialists to provide comprehensive care for families. His research is centered on prenatal therapy aimed at treating and curing genetic and structural diseases before birth, with the goal of improving health outcomes for affected children. Dr. Stitelman's educational background includes an MD from the University of Pennsylvania, followed by a residency at the University of Pennsylvania and a fellowship at Children's Hospital of Philadelphia. He has received several awards for his contributions to teaching and clinical care, including the C Elton Cahow Teaching Award and the Francis Gilman Blake Award from Yale School of Medicine.
