Biography

David M. Tucker is a Clinical Associate Professor with a Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology from the University of Georgia. He completed his internship training at the Yale Seizure Surgery Program and served as the Director of Neuropsychological Services at the University of Missouri Medical School. In 1990, he relocated to Austin and joined the psychology faculty at the University of Texas, where he currently teaches graduate courses in Human Neuropsychology and Neuropsychological Assessment. Dr. Tucker provides clinical supervision to students in neuropsychology and is also the Director of Neuropsychology at the Austin State Hospital. His professional credentials include Diplomate in Clinical Neuropsychology from the American Board of Professional Psychology. He has been actively involved with the American Psychological Association, contributing to the Division 40 Task Force on Education and Credentialing in Clinical Neuropsychology. His current research interests focus on recovery of function after neurological injury, neuropsychological subtypes of attention deficit disorder, and the mechanisms involved in mild traumatic brain injury.
