Dr. David Turner

Biography

David L. Turner is a Research Associate Professor at the Michigan Neuroscience Institute within the University of Michigan Medical School. He received his PhD from Harvard University in 1989 and completed his postdoctoral fellowship at the Fred Hutchinson Cancer Research Center in Seattle in 1996. His research focuses on the molecular mechanisms that underlie neuronal differentiation and migration, particularly in the context of developing retinas. Some of his recent publications include studies on the regulation of retinal amacrine cell generation and the transcriptional regulatory events initiated by key genes during neuronal differentiation. He is well-published, with works appearing in respected journals such as Development, Scientific Reports, and Molecular Neuroscience, contributing significantly to the field of neuroscience.
