Biography

David Veale is a Consultant Psychiatrist at the South London & Maudsley NHS Foundation Trust and a member of King's College London's Department of Psychology. He joined the South London & Maudsley NHS Trust in 2005 and has prior experience at the Royal Free University College Medical School, UCL from 1995 to 2005. Veale is recognized as an Honorary Fellow of the British Association for Behavioural Cognitive Psychotherapies and is a Fellow of both the British Psychological Society and the Royal College of Psychiatrists. His academic credentials include an MD from the University of London (1995), an MPhil (1989), and a BSc in Psychology (intercalated), along with an MB BS (1982). He teaches anxiety disorders to psychiatric trainees and medical students and has contributed to guidelines for NICE and the World Health Organization on related disorders.
