Biography

David Vivian is an Associate Professor of Scenography at Brock University, holding a Master of Fine Arts from the University of British Columbia and a graduate of the National Theatre School of Canada. His professional experience includes designing theatre, film, and television productions primarily in Canada. At Brock, David's contributions include set and costume designs for Mainstage productions since 2004, and he teaches theatrical design, production, and stagecraft. His research interests focus on marginalized virtual spaces in visual arts and theatre design, exploring the application of digital technologies in the collection of performance ephemera and the construction of regional identity through scenographic practices.
