Biography

David D. Wentzloff received his B.S.E. degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor in 1999, followed by S.M. and Ph.D. degrees from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, Cambridge in 2002 and 2007, respectively. He joined the University of Michigan in August 2007, where he is currently a Professor in the Department of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science. His research primarily focuses on RF integrated circuits, with an emphasis on ultra-low power design. In 2012, he co-founded Everactive to commercialize self-powered IoT sensors based on ultra-low power wireless System on Chips (SoCs). Throughout his career, he has received several accolades, including the 2009 DARPA Young Faculty Award and the 2012 NSF CAREER Award. He has served on the technical program committee for various conferences and served as a guest editor for several IEEE journals. David is also a senior member of IEEE and affiliated societies, reflecting his significant contributions to the field of integrated circuits and wireless communications.
