Biography

David B. Wilkins is the Lester Kissel Professor of Law and Vice Dean for Global Initiatives at Harvard Law School. He serves as the Faculty Director of the Center on the Legal Profession and is a Senior Research Fellow at the American Bar Foundation. His scholarly work includes over 80 articles published in leading legal journals and popular media. He co-authored significant casebooks in the field with a colleague from Harvard Law School. His current research projects delve into themes of globalization, the evolution of the legal profession, and the experiences of diverse lawyers in corporate law. Wilkins has also co-founded and teaches in Harvard Law School’s Executive Education Program. He has delivered numerous endowed lectures and served as a frequent speaker at law firm and corporate events. His contributions to legal education and the profession have been recognized with several honors, including an Honorary Doctorate from Stockholm University and the American Bar Foundation Scholar of the Year Award. Wilkins is a member of the American Academy of Arts and Sciences.
