Dr. Davide Rossi

Biography

Davide Rossi is an Associate Professor specializing in Hematology at the Oncology Institute of Southern Switzerland (IOSI). He obtained his Ph.D. in Clinical Experimental Medicine from the University of Eastern Piedmont and has overseen the Experimental Hematology research program since 2015. His research primarily focuses on chronic lymphocytic leukemia and lymphomas, contributing to over 330 publications in international peer-reviewed journals. Rossi is the principal investigator in various national and international clinical trials and has played a key role in developing the clinical guidelines for chronic lymphocytic leukemia, co-authoring the 2016 Classification of Hematologic Malignancies. He serves as an Editorial Board Member for several renowned journals in his field and is active in organizing major hematology conferences. His research is backed by various grants from esteemed organizations including the European Research Council and the Swiss National Fund. Rossi’s work aims to enhance the individualized management of chronic lymphocytic leukemia patients, focusing on optimizing disease prognostication and treatment strategies based on genetic and clinical variables.
