Biography

Davood Khodadad is an accomplished academic researcher specializing in non-destructive evaluation and imaging systems in the fields of applied physics and electronics. He is the head of the Non-Destructive Evaluation (NDE) research group at Umeå University. His expertise encompasses a range of advanced imaging techniques, including optical metrology, digital holography, and electrical impedance tomography, with applications in both industrial and medical domains. Davood has made significant contributions to the development of innovative imaging techniques for quality control, intensive care units, and additive manufacturing verification. He holds a Ph.D. in Experimental Mechanics from Luleå University of Technology (2016), an M.S. in Electrical Engineering (Bioelectronics) from Tehran University of Medical Sciences (2011), and a B.S. in Electrical Engineering (Bioelectronics) from Sahand University of Technology (2008). In addition to his research, Davood has supervised numerous undergraduate and postdoctoral students and teaches a variety of engineering courses, consistently inspiring and educating the next generation of engineers and researchers.
