Biography

Davor completed Doctor of Veterinary Medicine at the University of Zagreb in Croatia and then worked in swine practice. He completed his MSc at Brock University and followed with a PhD at the University of Guelph. Currently, Davor works at the Animal Health Laboratory as a Virologist and Immunologist. His group carries out 150 tests with classical virology and fully automated high-throughput procedures. Davor focuses on developing new diagnostic tests and improving existing ones. He primarily provides laboratory and consultative services to veterinary practitioners and agricultural operations in Ontario. Davor collaborates with colleagues from the University of Saskatchewan, University of Prince Edward Island, Memorial University of Newfoundland, Université de Montréal, and the National Center for Foreign Animal Diseases in Winnipeg. The Ontario Veterinary College at the University of Guelph is renowned for advancing veterinary medicine and health research to improve health outcomes for animals, people, and the planet. OVC educates the next generation of health leaders and provides high-value experiential learning opportunities through an interdisciplinary and comparative approach aimed at finding real-world solutions to real-world problems.
