Biography

Davoud Jafari is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Design Production and Management at the University of Twente. He obtained his Ph.D. in Thermal Engineering from the University of Pisa, Italy, in 2016 and joined the University of Twente in early 2017. His research primarily focuses on the development of new materials and enabling energy solutions for real-world applications. He applies principles of physics and fabrication in thermal engineering to synthesize and characterize innovative materials for next-generation energy conversion and storage systems. His current work revolves around advancing additive manufacturing techniques to fabricate metal matrix composites and multiscale porous materials for heat transfer, along with thermochemical and electrochemical technologies for both terrestrial and space applications.
