Dr. Dawn Armstrong

Biography

Dawn Armstrong is a Clinical Assistant Professor of Oncology at Memorial University of Newfoundland, with a focus on Medical Oncology. She obtained her Medical Doctor degree from Memorial University in 2009 and completed her Internal Medicine residency in 2012 at the same institution. Subsequently, she pursued her Medical Oncology training at the University of Alberta, completing it in 2014. Dr. Armstrong is dedicated to patient care, particularly in the treatment of gastrointestinal, neurological, cutaneous, and unknown primary malignancies. She actively participates in clinical trials, driven by a keen interest in social inequities and health outcomes. In addition to her clinical responsibilities, Dr. Armstrong enjoys teaching and mentoring medical students and residents, contributing to the education of future healthcare professionals. She has authored and co-authored multiple peer-reviewed publications, showcasing her research and clinical work in oncology.
