Biography

Dawn L. Hershman, MD, MS, is a recognized leader in the field of breast cancer treatment and prevention. She is the Witten Family Professor of Medicine at Columbia University and the Deputy Director and Chief of the Division of Hematology/Oncology at the Herbert Irving Comprehensive Cancer Center. Dr. Hershman completed her medical degree at the Albert Einstein College of Medicine, followed by a fellowship in oncology at Columbia University Medical Center where she also served as Chief Resident. She has held national leadership positions including vice chair at SWOG and serves on several editorial boards, underscoring her influence in advancing cancer research and quality of care for breast cancer survivors.
