Biography

Dea van Lierop is an Associate Professor in Human Geography and Spatial Planning at Utrecht University. Her research focuses on promoting equity and inclusion in transportation and land-use planning, combining practical, evidence-based approaches with creative interdisciplinary methodologies. She is dedicated to improving mobility experiences for diverse population groups, including children and older adults. She has also been a guest editor for Transportation Research Part: Policy and Practice, and Transportation Research Part D: Transport and Environment. Previously, she held roles in public and private sectors before earning her PhD in Urban Planning from McGill University, Canada.
