Biography

Dean Bradshaw is a collaborative pianist and professional musician with a diverse portfolio that includes roles as an accompanist, piano teacher, church organist, choir director, composer, and university instructor. Since joining the Fountain School of Performing Arts at Dalhousie University in 1996, he has taught courses in ear training, keyboard harmony, and foundational theory, among others. Bradshaw has accompanied various productions, including performances by opera students and chamber music series. He has also worked with noteworthy organizations such as the National Ballet of Canada and the Maritime Conservatory of Performing Arts. In recent years, he has composed and recorded his own ballet music under an ongoing commission from the Atlantic Dance Teachers Association.
