Biography

Deana Anglin is the Founder (Intrapreneur) and General Manager of a startup at Google and an Adjunct Professor at Carnegie Mellon University. With 12 years of experience in hybrid product development and as a user experience (UX) practitioner, she has worked on global products and services. Deana is known for her field learning across Asia, Africa, Australia, Europe, North and South America, which informs and guides her in product strategy conception and launch. Additionally, she advises startups in Africa and Brazil through Google’s startup programs. Born in Jamaica, Deana is the founder of the Azarae Foundation, a non-profit that enables access to educational opportunities for Caribbean youth. She earned her PhD in Computing at Georgia Tech, focusing on developing technologies to address socio-economic challenges globally, particularly in youth development and rural water quality monitoring.
