Biography

Deanna Nardella, MD joined the Yale community in 2022 after completing general pediatrics training at Children’s Hospital Philadelphia. Her scholarship aims to inform health policy and healthcare delivery, promoting high-quality, person-centered, equitable healthcare across the pediatric continuum. Her research largely focuses on the design and implementation of innovative dyadic care models, treating mothers and children to address the drivers of rising U.S. maternal and infant mortality rates. Nardella serves as co-chairperson of the Connecticut Infant Mortality Review Committee, a designation by the Connecticut Chapter of the American Academy of Pediatrics.
