Biography

Debajyoti Sengupta is a PhD student in the Particle Physics Department at the University of Geneva, specializing in high-energy physics and solar physics. He has been an integral member of the ATLAS group, where his research focuses on robust deep density models and anomaly detection in high-energy astrophysics. Debajyoti successfully defended his PhD thesis on October 28, 2024, demonstrating his significant contributions to the RODEM project, which employs data-driven weakly supervised methods. His previous research experience includes the application of GAN-based calorimeter simulations and data analysis of Drell-Yan processes, contributing to the rediscovery of the Z boson. A graduate of Scottish Church College, Kolkata with a BSc in Physics in 2017 and an MSc from the University of Calcutta in 2019, he has also taught Nuclear Spectroscopy Lab courses at the University of Geneva from 2020 to 2023.
