Biography

Dr. Debora Correa earned her PhD in Applied Physics with a focus on Computational Physics from the University of São Paulo in December 2012. She has an enthusiastic background in computer data science, holding a BSc with Honours and an MSc in Computer Science. Her research focuses on developing data-driven techniques to analyze large-scale temporal datasets that encompass numerous variables and mixed data types. Dr. Correa has applied her techniques across diverse domains, including bioengineering, biomedical signal processing, music, and audio signal analysis, as well as engineering systems. In 2022, she commenced a Teaching and Research appointment in the Department of Computer Science and Software Engineering at the University of Western Australia, where she became a Chief Investigator in the Australian Research Council Training Centre for Transforming Maintenance through Data Science.
