Biography

Deborah J. Lucas is the Sloan Distinguished Professor of Finance at the MIT Sloan School of Management and the Director of the MIT Golub Center for Finance and Policy. Her research primarily focuses on finance policy, where she applies insights from financial economics to measure costs and risks associated with a broad range of government financial activities. Notable projects include developing methods to measure the value of government subsidies, analyzing fiscal macroeconomic effects, and evaluating sustainability in pension systems.
