Biography

Deborah Siegele is an Associate Professor in the Department of Biology at Texas A&M University. She joined the department in 1992 and her research focuses on biological resilience, genetics, and the integration of computational tools in biological data analysis. Siegele is involved in projects that enhance the reusability of published data through biocuration, particularly in relation to biological data annotations used in computer-based analyses. Siegele holds a B.A. in Biochemistry from Northwestern University and a Ph.D. in Molecular Biology from the University of Wisconsin, Madison. She also completed postdoctoral research at Harvard Medical School.
