Biography

Declan Ryan is a poet and critic based in London. His collection, 'Crisis Actor', is published in the UK by Faber & Faber and by Farrar, Straus and Giroux in the United States. His reviews and essays have appeared in prominent journals such as the New York Review of Books, The Baffler, The Literary Supplement, The Paris Review, The Guardian, The Observer, Poetry, Granta, The Irish Telegraph, Publishers Weekly, and the Los Angeles Review. He writes on contemporary poetry, fiction, non-fiction, and sports writing. In addition to his literary work, Ryan teaches creative writing, encompassing poetry, fiction, and non-fiction genres.
