Dr. Deepa Ramadurai

Biography

Deepa Ramadurai is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Medicine at the University of Chicago, specializing in Pulmonary Critical Care. She completed her medical education at the Zucker School of Medicine in New York and pursued her internal medicine residency, including a chief residency, at the University of Colorado in Denver. Subsequently, she undertook a fellowship at the University of Pennsylvania where she obtained a Master of Science in Health Policy Research and participated in the Measey Medical Education Fellowship. Dr. Ramadurai's clinical interests lie in education and mechanical ventilation, focusing on patient-centered outcomes. Her research interests are centered on understanding health inequities in serious illness, particularly concerning advanced lung disease in critical care settings. Additionally, she serves as the Co-Director of the COPD Program at the University of Chicago and is part of the Core Faculty in the Internal Medicine Residency Program, where she co-directs intern recruitment efforts.
