Dr. Deirdre Haskell

Biography

Deirdre Haskell is a Professor in the Department of Mathematics at McMaster University, specializing in model-theoretic algebra. Her research focuses on the application of techniques from model theory to the study of algebraic structures in a general setting. She particularly examines valued fields, exploring their properties and the interplay between algebraic structures and model theory. Haskell’s extensive background includes previous appointments as an Associate Professor and Assistant Professor at the College of the Holy Cross, where she contributed to the fields of mathematics and algebra.
