Dr. Dejan Zecevic

Biography

Dejan Zecevic is a Senior Research Scientist in the Department of Cellular and Molecular Physiology at Yale University School of Medicine. He received his PhD in Biophysics from the University of Belgrade, Serbia. Dr. Zecevic was trained in the laboratory of Dr. Lawrence Cohen at Yale University where he initiated the field of voltage-sensitive dye recording. He is a pioneer in intracellular voltage-sensitive dye imaging techniques, which is a cutting-edge technology used to monitor electrical signaling in axons, dendrites, and dendritic spines. His research interests span several aspects of neurobiology, focusing on action potentials, synaptic potentials, and neuronal physiology.
