Delia Fernández-Jones is an Associate Professor in the Department of History at Michigan State University, specializing in Latina/o History, Modern U.S. History, and Modern Latin America. Raised in a large, tight-knit Mexican Puerto Rican community in Grand Rapids, Michigan, she is a first-generation college student who earned her B.A. in History from Grand Valley State University and both her M.A. and Ph.D. in History from Ohio State University.
